Description
No 10, and No 1 London Street is a corner building located in Great Faringdon Market Place, dating from around 1840. It is three stories tall and features a stucco front with a hipped slate roof at the angle. The building has a two-window range facing Market Place and three windows on London Street. There are two plain bands at the floor levels and channelled rustication on the ground floor. The windows are glazing bar sash types, set within moulded architrave surrounds. The ground floor shopfront on Market Place has two shallow bowed sections with a frieze and cornice above, interrupted by a central door. The openings are framed by panelled pilasters and curved brackets. The bowed windows have been modernized.
