Description
The Wheatsheaf Public House is a late 17th to early 18th century inn with a stucco front. It has an L-shaped plan and is two stories high, topped with a stone tiled roof and renewed ashlar end wall stacks. The front elevation features six windows, a deep coved eaves cornice, and renewed cross-mullioned windows with iron frames and leaded lights on the first floor. On the ground floor, there are two canted three-sided window bays, also with leaded lights. The building has a central door and an east end door leading to a through passage. The rear wing is rendered and has leaded casements, with a rear gable on the east side that also features leaded casements.
