Description

No. 16 Market Place is a stucco-fronted building dating from around 1820 to 1830. It is three storeys high and features a hipped cement slate roof. The facade has a three-window arrangement with cambered windows. The second floor has glazing bar sashes, while the first floor has full-height glazed doors that once led to a balcony. The ground floor includes a central door, a sash window with glazing bars on the west side, and a glazing bar shop window on the east side. The rear of the building is rendered with brick surrounds around the windows, and there is an east side rear wing along with two small hipped gables on the west side.
