Description

The Baptist Chapel, built in 1841, is the third structure on this site since it was acquired in 1652. It is set back from the road and features two storeys. The building has a brick side with a stucco front, topped with a pediment. The façade is supported by four columns and two pilasters, and it includes three windows with stone architraves, a moulded cornice, and glazing bars. A moulded band runs along the cills and connects the pilasters. There are three doorways, each with a moulded round arch and a glass fanlight, set on moulded impost bands that also connect the pilasters. The doors are double and consist of three panels each, with stone plinth blocks at the base. The interior was altered in 1882.
