Description
Pomander House is a house dating from the 16th century, with alterations made around 1925. It features a plinth made of uncoursed rubble stone and large timber framing with angle braces on the first floor, which has 20th-century brick infill. The roof is thatched, and there are brick ridge stacks located to the left and right of the central storey. The house has a three-window range, with a two-storey, single-window addition on the right and a single-storey, single-bay addition on the left. The ground and first floors on the left have 2-light casements with leaded lights, while all other openings feature 3-light casements with leaded lights, except for a 4-light casement in the addition on the left. There is a 20th-century door leading to a porch on the left return, and a full cruck is visible on the left return. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
