Description

The building at 2-8 Stert Street, formerly known as the Old Globe Inn, dates from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It features a stucco exterior with a timber-framed core and stands three storeys tall under a slate roof with a central brick chimney. The first floor has two windows with flush frames, double hung sashes, and glazing bars, which are accented by a frieze and cornice. The ground floor has a modern shop front. At the back, there is a 17th or 18th-century overhang facing Stert Street. This building is part of a group that includes Nos. 14 to 21, which are consecutive.
