Description

Abbey Gate is a late 15th-century structure that connects the Town Hall with St Nicholas' Church as part of the Borough buildings. The vaulting has been partly renewed, and the south pair of small arches is modern. An original stone newel is located in the southwest angle. The building has recently been cleaned.
