Description

These stables, located approximately 2 meters south of Court Close in Southmoor, date back to the 18th century and were extended in the early 19th century. They are constructed from uncoursed limestone rubble and feature a gabled stone slate roof. The building is a single storey with a two-bay range. To the right, there is a rolled steel joist over a 20th-century entry, and to the left, a gabled loft door sits above a 20th-century window. The early 19th-century extension is made from similar materials. Inside, you can find chamfered beams, a manger rack, and the original roof structure.
