Description

The wall and gatepier, located approximately 15 meters south of Denman College, date from the 18th century and early 19th century. The wall is constructed from uncoursed limestone rubble and features a triangular coping with an ashlar top course. The gatepier is made of ashlar and topped with a pineapple finial. This wall marks the entrance to Denman College, which was formerly known as Marcham House, and it extends approximately 110 meters along the north side of the churchyard.
