Description

Old Rose Cottage is a house dating to 1725, as indicated by an inscription on the door lintel. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with a gabled thatched roof and stone end stacks, the right-hand stack finished in brick. The house has a two-unit plan and is arranged over one storey and an attic, with a two-window front. It features timber lintels over a central 20th-century door with a porch, and 20th-century casement windows. The interior, which has not been inspected, is noted to contain chamfered beams and an open fireplace.
