Description

Brook Farm House is a late 16th-century farmhouse, later altered and now used as a house. The exterior is roughcast over timber framing, with some timber framing still visible, and has an old plain-tile roof. Brick end stacks are present, one to the left and a large lateral stack to the right with two diagonally-set flues. The building is two storeys high and has a three-window front. It features ribbon casements on both the ground and first floors. A 20th-century four-panel part-glazed door is located in a 19th-century addition to the left return. A two-storey angled bay window, with a gabled roof and leaded lights, is on the right return, dating to the 17th century. The interior was not inspected, but is likely to be of interest.
