Description
Adnams Farmhouse is a farmhouse, now a house, dating from the early 16th century, with a bay to the left that was rebuilt probably in the late 18th century, and has had 20th-century alterations. The building features a rendered plinth and large timber-framing, with arched braces on the first floor to the right and to the right of centre, along with rendered infill. It has an old plain-tile roof and a brick ridge stack located to the left of centre. The structure is two stories high and consists of a four-bay range. There is a 20th-century part-glazed panelled door to the right of centre and a 20th-century garage door to the left. A blocked original doorway is present to the left of centre. The windows include three-light wood casements in the centre and to the right, as well as a three-light wood casement on the first floor to the right. There is a cross-gable on the first floor centre with a three-light casement, and a blocked wood mullion window to the left of centre. A queen-strut roof truss can be seen on the left return. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
