Description

The Dovecote, located approximately 20 metres south-west of the Church of St. Swithun in Compton Beauchamp, dates from the late 18th century. It features weatherboard cladding over a light timber frame and has a stone slate roof. The structure has a single unit plan and includes a 20th-century plank door. The hipped roof is topped with a timber glover that has turned corner-posts. Inside, the original nesting boxes are arranged around the walls.
