Description

House. Built in the early 18th century. The walls are of sarsen rubble with squared chalk quoins and bands, with a stone slate roof to the front and a more recent tile roof to the rear. There are brick stacks. The building is arranged with a three-unit plan, and is two storeys high with a 4-window front. It features a late 19th-century four-panelled door above a single light, early 18th-century wood-mullioned and transomed leaded casements, and two joined dormers. A single-light leaded casement and two gabled dormers are on the left side wall. The roof is gabled, with stacks on the right end and along the ridge. It was likely built around the same time as improvements to Compton Beauchamp House, circa 1710.
