Description
Nos 17 and 17A on Bridge Street is a building from the 18th century. It has a timber frame and is rendered on the exterior. The Bridge Street side features three storeys with a modern tile roof. There are two windows with flush frames, double hung sashes that include glazing bars, and a frieze and cornice above the first-floor windows. The ground floor has been altered for modern shops. The Turnagain Lane side, which is No. 17A, has a steep tile roof and is two storeys high. It has two windows; the left window has three lights and flush frames with double hung sashes, while the right window also has a flush frame with a frieze and cornice. There are two modern steps leading to a panelled door that has part glass, set within a pilastered wood architrave, topped with a small wood hood.
