Description
Nos. 5 and 6 on Newbury Road are two dwellings that were originally built as a single house in the 17th century. The building features a rendered plinth and large timber-framing with rendered infill. It has a 20th-century plain-tile roof that is hipped to the left. There are 19th-century brick ridge stacks on both the left and right sides of the center, as well as a lateral stack on the side of the cross-wing to the right. The structure is single-storey with an attic and has a two-window range, with a cross-wing to the right. The central entrance features a sash door and a 20th-century gabled porch. The windows are irregularly arranged casements, and there are two gabled dormers. Inside, the interiors have not been inspected. The building is included for its group value.
