Description

This is a house located in Wytham, dating from the mid to late 16th century and remodelled in the 18th century. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble, except for the front first-floor wall, which features timber framing with tension braces. The house has a gabled thatch roof and 20th-century brick end stacks. It has a two-unit plan and is two storeys high with a two-bay range. There are timber lintels above the 20th-century door and casements. A wrought-iron sign-bracket from the 18th century on the right side suggests that the building may have previously served as a public house. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
