Description
Nos 12 and 14 on London Street in Great Faringdon date from around 1830 and feature a refacing in stucco of an older building. The structure is two storeys high with a three-window front and a parapet. It has a plain tile roof that is half-hipped at the west end, complete with a brick ridge stack and two flat dormers. The façade includes two full-height canted sided bays, and the first floor retains glazing bar sash windows with margin lights. The centre features 16-pane sash windows on both the ground and first floors. There are doors located between the centre window and the bays, which have fanlights but have been altered. The ground floor windows of the bays have also been modified. A lead downpipe with a decorated hopper head is present. At the rear, there is a long catslide roof and two rear gables, which are hipped on the east side. The garden wall displays a brick with the date of 1829.
