Description

Lock Cottage is a canal cottage located in Buscot, dating from the late 18th century with later additions. It is constructed from rubble stone and features hipped stone tiled roofs, along with a northern brick chimney stack. The original lock keeper's cottage has a square plan and stands two storeys tall, with one-storey additions on three sides. The eastern and western additions have hipped roofs, while a catslide roof covers an additional outshut to the north. The cottage has 20th-century two-light wooden casements throughout and a modern door. It is currently a holiday cottage managed by the National Trust.
