Description
The stables, located approximately 8 meters north of Frilford Old Grange, date from the late 18th century. They are constructed of coursed limestone rubble and feature a half-hipped stone slate roof, with old tiles near the ridge. The building is one storey high with a loft and has a three-window range. The right bay contains a garage with 20th-century sliding doors, while to the left is a late 18th-century six-panelled door and a 2-light leaded casement window, which has two re-used medieval cornices above it. The loft door has nesting holes at the top of the gablet. A similar window is found at the rear of the building. There is also an early 19th-century outshut to the left. Inside, the stables have a collar-truss post and pad roof with curved under-principals. This building is included for its group value.
