MARCHAM SU49NW 5/137 Noah's Ark Bridge and flanking walls

Bridge. Late C18. Uncoursed limestone rubble with triangular ashlar coping. 3 semi-circular arches divided by buttress from similar overflow arch to left. The bridge may date from the turnpiking of the road to Wantage in 1770. (The Turnpike Roads of Oxfordshire, Oxfordshire Museums Information Sheet No.5, 1977).
