Description

The monument to Harold Greenwood Henderson is located approximately 20 metres south of St Mary's Church in Buscot. It was designed in 1923 by Sir Edwin Lutyens. The memorial features a sarcophagus made of Portland stone, which is set on a coved stone plinth. Heraldic arms are displayed on each end of the sarcophagus. The monument is situated near a boundary wall and is enclosed by a privet hedge, with round stone plaques placed in the ground at either end. This structure was formerly listed as the "Tomb of Hon. H. Henderson (St Mary's Churchyard)."
