Description
Mill Cottage is a house located on the site of a former mill, dating from the 17th century. It features a timber-framed structure with diagonal braces and a thatched roof, along with chalk and brick stacks. The building is one and a half stories high and has a two-window range, following a two-unit plan. A 20th-century porch and door are situated to the left, and there are 20th-century casement windows. The gabled roof has a chalk end stack that projects from the right gable wall. The interior has not been inspected. There is a mid-19th century rear wing made of brick with a slate roof, which is two stories high and has segmental arches over 20th-century casements, as well as dentilled eaves and a gabled roof. Additionally, there is a late 20th-century extension to the rear gable wall.
