Description

This gatepier, located approximately 120 metres west of Piccadilly Cottage, is part of an entrance screen and is likely from the 17th century. It is made of limestone ashlar and has a square plan with pilaster strips on all sides, featuring a rusticated front. The gatepier has a moulded base and cornice that break around projections, with remnants of a finial at the top. This structure is one of four lesser piers from a total of six that mark the entrance to Ascott Park. Ascott Park is listed in the County register of Gardens at Grade II.
