Description

The walled garden to Ascott Farmhouse, likely dating from the 18th century, features garden walls constructed of limestone rubble and brick, with some ashlar dressings. The north wall is made of brick, while the west and south walls are composed of rubble topped with a stepped brick coping that slopes down on the south side. There is a short return to the house from the southeast corner. Some of the ashlar quoins are made from re-used materials, probably originating from the demolished 17th century mansion, Ascott House, and a few of these quoins have fielded panels on one face.
