SOUTH STOKE THE STREET SU5983 10/142 (East side) 24/10/51 Dovecote approx. 35m. NE of Manor Farmhouse (Formerly listed as Dovecote abutting Farmhouse immediately north-west of Church) GV II*

Dovecote. C17. Red brick base; red brick with some grey headers; old plain-tile cross-gabled roof. Square plan. 2-panel door to centre with segmental head. Round openings to cross-gables. Brick nests to interior. Some C20 reconstruction of roof. Reputed to be the largest Dovecote in Oxfordshire. (Buildings of England: Oxfordshire, p.774).
