Description
Common Side is a house dating from the 18th century, with a one-bay extension added in the 19th century to the left. It is constructed of flint rubble with brick quoins and dressings, topped with a combination of 20th-century and older tile roofing, and features brick stacks. The building has a two-unit layout that has been extended to a three-unit plan. It stands two storeys high and has a range of two windows, later extended to three. There are segmental brick arches over a blocked door and 20th-century casements, along with brick dentilled eaves. The roof is gabled with stacks at the gable ends. To the left, there is a similar one-bay extension with a rear outshut. The rear of the property includes 20th-century and late 19th-century extensions. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
