Description
Highclere Unity Cottage is a house that has been divided into two dwellings, dating from the early 18th century. It features random bond brick construction on a flint base, topped with an old tile roof and brick stacks. The building has a three-unit plan, is one storey high with an attic, and has a four-window range. The windows have an irregular arrangement, with segmental and flat brick arches above. There is a 20th-century door with a 20th-century porch to the left, and 20th-century casements. A late 19th-century three-light casement is located in the left gabled dormer. The roof is gabled and half-hipped, with stacks at the left end and ridge. A 20th-century entry is found in the right side wall. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
