Description

Walnut Tree Cottage is a 17th-century house located in Pishill with Stonor. It features square timber framing with brick infill set on a flint base. The right gable wall displays a queen-post truss with clasped purlins. The roof is gabled and half-hipped, covered with old tiles, and there is a large external stack made of flint and brick at the right end, finished in brick. The cottage has a two-unit plan and consists of one storey with an attic, presenting a three-window range. A 19th-century plank door is situated in the right gable wall, accompanied by a 20th-century porch and 20th-century casements. There is also a 20th-century extension to the left. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
