Description
Oak Cottage is a farmhouse that has been converted into a house. It dates from the early 18th century and may incorporate elements from a 17th-century house. The building is constructed of random bond brick and features an old tile roof with brick stacks. It has an L-shaped plan and is one storey with an attic, presenting a two-window range. There are segmental arches above a 20th-century door and casement windows, along with a 20th-century brick porch and dormers that also have 20th-century casements. The roof is gabled, with external end stacks and a flint bread oven on the left side. The rear right wing is two storeys high and maintains a similar style and materials with a two-window range.
