Description

The White House is an early 19th-century house located on the west side of The Lane in Maidensgrave, Swyncombe. It is constructed of rendered and colourwashed brick with an old tile roof and features brick stacks. The building has a two-unit plan and consists of one storey and an attic, with a two-window range. A gabled porch leads to a 19th-century four-panelled door. The windows are C19 two-light casements with segmental arches, and there are gable dormers also featuring 2-light casements. The roof is gabled, with external stacks at both the left end and right gable. The interior is noted for its low ceiling with beams and retains an unaltered appearance. The house is included for its group value.
