Description
Wrights Bakery is a house that has been converted into a shop and dwelling. It dates from the late 17th century, with a possibly earlier cross-wing at the rear and a shop front likely added in the mid-20th century. The building is constructed of painted brick and has an old plain-tile roof, although the chimney stacks are not visible. It is two stories high and features a two-window range. The shop front, located to the left and center, includes a central sash door flanked by plate glass bay windows. There is a mid-20th century door to the right with a segmental brick head, and the shop front has a flat roof. On the first floor, there are two 4-pane horned sash windows. The eaves are accentuated by stepped brick courses. Inside, the mid-20th century shop on the ground floor has chamfered spine beams with ogee end stops.
