Description
Marylands Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from around 1800, with possible earlier elements. It is constructed of rendered brick and features a Welsh-slate roof with brick stacks. The building has a double-depth plan and stands two storeys high. The symmetrical front has three windows, with a central 20th-century glazed door that is sheltered by a segmental canopy supported by wooden posts. Above the door is a 2-light casement, while the outer bays contain 3-light casements, all of which have segmental arches. To the rear, there is a range that projects one bay to the right. The hipped roof has wide boxed eaves and stacks located on the returns of the front ridge. To the left, there is a small single-storey range made of rubble and brick. The interior has not been inspected. This farmhouse was formerly part of the Chiselhampton estate.
