Description
Sadlers is a 17th-century house located on the north side of Long Wittenham High Street. The building features an uncoursed limestone rubble base, with limestone rubble on the ground floor to the right. It has large timber-framing with brick infill arranged in a herringbone pattern, and the first floor to the right is rendered, likely over timber-framing. The roof is a complex design covered with old plain tiles, and there are brick stacks, one at the left end and another ridge stack to the right of the center. The house has a complex plan and is two stories tall with a three-window range. A sash door is located at the center, accompanied by a lean-to verandah porch. The windows are irregularly arranged casements, and there is a jetty on the first floor to the right. The interior has not been inspected but is expected to be of interest.
