Description

This small house is located on Thame Road, Warborough, and dates from the late 16th or early 17th century, although it includes earlier features. The structure is timber-framed with plastered and colourwashed brick infill, clunch rubble, and a thatched roof, topped by a brick ridge stack. It follows a 2-unit lobby-entry plan. The front elevation, originally a 2-window arrangement, has been altered at ground floor level, but the first floor retains the complete timber framing, featuring two casement windows, one with leaded lights. The left gable wall is constructed of rubble, while the right gable wall incorporates a cruck frame. The half-hipped roof has a central stack. The rear elevation is rendered and contains further small casements and a central doorway. The interior remains uninspected.
