Description

This house dates to around 1800. Constructed of flared brick with red dressings, it has a Welsh-slate roof and brick stacks. The building follows a double-depth plan and is arranged symmetrically with a three-window front. The front elevation is in a header bond and features brick pilasters with a fluted frieze and cornice, as well as gauged-brick flat arches over the 12-pane sash windows. The central first-floor window has a semi-circular head, and the front door has a canopy supported by shaped brackets. A hipped roof with wide, boxed eaves completes the front. The right side wall is in red brick in a Flemish garden-wall bond, while the left side, featuring a gabled projection, and a rear extension are pebbledashed. The interior remains uninspected.
