Description

Whitepond Farmhouse is a farmhouse with two front ranges, dating from the early 19th century on the right and from around 1850 to 1860 on the left. There is a 17th-century wing at the rear right. The front is roughcast, while the right side and rear are constructed of Flemish bond brick with flared headers. The right range has a gabled old tile roof and brick lateral stacks, and the building is laid out in an L-plan over two storeys.

The right range features a two-window arrangement with 8-pane sash windows and dentilled eaves. The left range has a three-window layout, including a 20th-century door with a porch, flanked by French windows set in canted bays, and first-floor sash windows. The early 19th-century rear left wing is made of Flemish bond brick with flared headers, has a gabled old tile roof, and contains two three-light leaded casements.

The 17th-century rear wing is two storeys high, featuring square timber framing with brick infill and a brick wall to the right. It has a gabled old tile roof, large brick ridge and rear external stacks, and leaded lights with diamond panes, along with a 20th-century porch. Inside, the farmhouse has mid-19th-century interiors, except for chamfered and stopped beams and an open fireplace next to an old door in the 17th-century rear wing. The first floor has not been inspected.
