Description

The Church of St. Thomas a Beckett features a chest tomb known as the Marlet memorial, located approximately 1 meter east of the chancel. This tomb dates from the early 17th century and is made of limestone. It has a deep lid with a hollow-chamfered lower edge, rectangular moulded panels on the sides, and arched panels on the ends. The inscription, which is partly legible, commemorates someone named Marlet, with the date 1624 appearing on the end panel. An additional inscription on the rear includes the date 1639.
