Description

The Lodge, together with Coldharbour Farmhouse and attached gatepier, is a lodge dating to around 1800. It is constructed of colourwashed limestone rubble with ashlar dressings, and has a Welsh-slate roof with a central brick stack. The building is square in plan. The front elevation, with a single bay, has a central door positioned below a two-light casement window. The side walls have two windows on each level; the ground floor windows are casements. All window and door openings are topped with stone flat arches, embellished with slightly projecting keyblocks. The roof has a pyramidal shape. Internally, there are two rooms in depth. A 18th-century square ashlar pier, featuring a moulded cap and a ball finial rising from a moulded stem, is attached by a short section of wall. The lodge is included on the list for its group value.
