Description

Mariners is a late 19th-century building located on Wharf Lane. The front elevation facing Wharf Lane is made of painted brick and features two storeys with three windows, which are sash windows with late 19th-century glazing. The ground floor includes a garage and two additional doors. The river-facing side is constructed of red brick with a plastered first floor and has a slate roof. This side also has two storeys and a weatherboarded attic with a railed flat roof. A balcony on the first floor is continuous with that of the adjacent No 5. The first-floor facade has three bays, featuring two-light, segment-headed sash windows on either side of a central door. The ground floor has one modern door with flanking windows and includes a boathouse.

Mariners is part of a group with Nos 25 to 29 (odd) Thameside and No 88 New Street, as well as the courtyard surface behind No 88. It also belongs to a second group with all the listed buildings on Wharf Lane.
