Description
Waters Edge is a late 19th-century building located on the east side of Wharf Lane. The elevation facing Wharf Lane is constructed of brick, timber, and part tile hung, featuring a half hipped roof with a flat top. At the rear, there is a single-storey brick extension with a parapet. The river-facing side has a ground floor with a sandstone facade and a first floor with a 19th-century timbered facade beneath a steeply pitched, tiled roof. The building has an irregular plan, with a gable end to the south and a hexagonal feature topped with a pyramidal roof to the north. The first floor includes four windows and a balcony supported by large brackets. The ground floor consists of boathouses with round arched doors in the center, along with additional side doors. Waters Edge is part of a group with Nos 25 to 29 (odd) Thameside and No 88 New Street, as well as the courtyard surface behind No 88, and it also contributes to a second group with all the listed buildings on Wharf Lane.
