Description
Old Ship House is a 18th century building located on Wharf Lane. It was originally two houses and features a stucco facade with an old tiled roof. The southern half has two storeys with two windows and a central door that is lower than the northern half, which also has two storeys but includes a basement and three windows. The windows are a mix of sashes and casements, with half of them having glazing bars. There is a small modern bay on the north end of the first floor. The doors have decorative low relief carved heads above them.
Old Ship House is part of a group that includes Nos 25 to 29 (odd) Thameside and No 88 New Street, as well as the courtyard surface behind No 88. It also belongs to a second group with all the listed buildings on Wharf Lane.
