Description
The Bull is a public house located in Great Milton, dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century. It is constructed from colourwashed limestone rubble with timber lintels and features a thatched roof with brick stacks. The building has a three-unit plan and consists of one storey plus attics. The front has three windows, with a door positioned to the left of centre. There is a two-light casement window to the left and a three-light casement window to the right, both set under a brick segmental arch and equipped with plank shutters. A further small casement window is located at the extreme right, and there are three small two-light dormers. The roof is half-hipped to the right.
Inside, the building has been much altered but still retains an inglenook fireplace with a bread oven. The Bull was recorded as an inn in 1684 and forms one end of a picturesque row facing The Green.
