Description

The wall and gatepiers to The Priory date from the 18th century. They are constructed of coursed squared limestone rubble and ashlar. The wall serves as the front boundary of the grounds and features gatepiers for a pedestrian entrance directly opposite the front door, as well as a vehicular entrance to the left. The ashlar piers are rhomboidal in shape and have moulded cornices topped with ball finials. The iron gates, likely from the 19th century, complement the structure.
