Description
The Saddlery is a house dating from the 18th century, located in Great Milton. It is constructed of colourwashed rubble with some timber lintels, featuring an old plain-tile roof and brick stacks. The building has a three-unit plan, possibly with a lobby entrance, and stands two storeys tall. The front has three windows and a door to the left of centre. At the ground floor, there are three sash windows, one of which is set under the brick segmental arch of a former carriage entrance to the right. To the left of the entrance, there is a window with 20th-century brick quoins, which adjoins a blocked doorway. The first floor has 20th-century casements. There are stacks to the right and in line with the entrance. The interior has not been inspected. This building was formerly the premises of the village saddler and is included for its group value.
