Description
Red Lion Stables is an 18th-century building located on the west side of Thameside. It features a facade made of red and grey brick, accented with red brick window dressings and an old tiled roof. The design includes a large triple arch motif in red and grey brick, topped with a wide pediment. A moulded bracketed wood cornice extends up to the pediment, which is flanked by parapet walls. The building has two storeys and seven windows, all of which are sash windows with glazing bars. The first-floor windows have segmental heads, while the ground floor includes two large triple-light windows and a central entrance leading to the yard. Red Lion Stables, along with No 18 and The Red Lion Hotel, is part of a group that includes No 52 Hart Street, The Parish Church of St Mary, and Henley Bridge, marking the entrance into the town.
