Description
This building, known as L.J. Butler, County Furnishers, is a townhouse that has been converted into a shop and dwelling. It dates from the early 19th century and is likely built on an earlier structure. The exterior is made of red brick with flared headers in Flemish bond, although the roof and chimney stacks are not visible. The building is three stories tall and has a two-window range. The ground floor features a 20th-century plate-glass shop front with a glazed door on the left side, and there is a 20th-century fascia board between the ground and first floors. The first and second floors have 12-pane unhorned sash windows with cambered brick heads. At the top, there is a plain brick parapet. Inside, it is reputed that timber framing is visible.
