Description

Rose Cottage is a cottage dating from the late 18th century, constructed of coursed limestone rubble with a gabled 20th-century tile roof and a brick end stack. The building features a two-unit plan and is one storey high with an attic, presenting a two-window range. It has segmental brick arches above a 20th-century door and two-light Gothick iron casements, with similar casements in the dormer. The eaves are adorned with dentilled brick. Inside, there is an ogee-stopped chamfered beam and an open fireplace that includes a bread oven. The cottage is included for its group value.
