Description

Brightwell Farm Barn is an early 18th-century barn located approximately 30 meters southeast of the farmhouse. It features 20th-century weatherboarding over a heavy timber frame and has a gabled 20th-century tiled roof. The barn originally had a 7-bay plan but now has 6 bays, with two threshing floors. There are two gabled porches, each with new plank doors. Inside, the barn has a 6-bay collar-truss roof with curved under-principals and clasped purlins, supported by jowled and braced posts. This barn is included for its group value.
