Description

This is a row of four headstones located next to the churchyard cross to the south in the churchyard of Dorchester Abbey. The headstones date from the late 17th century and are made of limestone. The outer stones feature undulating heads with oval inscription panels, while the inner pair have segmental heads with scrolled ends. The headstones are dated from left to right as follows: 1676, 1695, 1697, and 1699.
